BROKEN TOOTH

A broken tooth won’t stop you from eating—you adapt and move forward. For John Camron, that’s not just a metaphor, it’s autobiographical.

Broken Tooth, the fourth release from Madison, Wisconsin–based songwriter John Camron, is his most cohesive work to date—an 11-track document shaped by sharp social observation, frustration, self-awareness, and a sense of gratitude. After decades away from music—and multiple spinal surgeries that left him bedridden—Camron returned to the studio with urgency and a stripped-down, poetic voice.

Produced by Jason Roberts (Norah Jones, Spoon), Broken Tooth features a standout lineup including members of Spoon, Cat Power, Social Distortion, and Perfume Genius. From the biting opener “My Edge,” confronting teenage self-harm, to the chaotic psychedelic swirl of “Well Hello There,” the album blends vintage rock influences with intimate, emotionally layered songwriting and production.

Camron doesn’t just revisit his past—he reclaims it, one song at a time.
